Michigan's Livers out indefinitely with stress injury in foot
Michigan forward Isaiah Livers suffered a stress injury to his right foot and will be out indefinitely, the school announced Saturday.
An MRI revealed the injury following the Wolverines' 79-66 win over Maryland in Friday's Big Ten quarterfinal.
Livers ranked second on Michigan in scoring with a career-high 13.1 points per game during the regular season. The senior wing also averaged personal bests in rebounds (six), assists (two), and 3-point shooting (43.1%). He was named to the All-Big Ten second team on Tuesday.
Michigan did not provide specifics on Livers' status for the NCAA Tournament, which tips off Thursday and is almost certain to feature Juwan Howard's squad as a top seed.
The Wolverines face Ohio State in the Big Ten semifinal Saturday. The victor will face the winner of Illinois-Iowa in Sunday's championship game.
