Arizona State lands 5-star shooting guard Josh Christopher
Five-star recruit Josh Christopher announced his commitment to Arizona State on social media Monday.
Christopher, who's ranked 10th on the ESPN 100 for 2020, paid homage to one of his idols in the late Kobe Bryant by announcing his commitment at 8:24 p.m. PT.
Michigan, Missouri, and UCLA were also in the running for the 6-foot-5 guard's services. Christopher's older brother, Caleb, just finished his freshman season with the Sun Devils.
Christopher averaged 29.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 3.5 steals, and 1.7 blocks during his senior year at Mayfair high school. He was named a McDonald's All-American and was selected to represent Team USA at the Nike Hoop Summit.
Arizona State posted a 20-11 overall record this season, including an 11-7 mark in Pac-12 play.
