Following his team's 77-54 loss to Louisville, Georgia Tech head coach Josh Pastner took time in his postgame press conference to deny that he sexually assaulted a woman in February 2016.

"There is zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero truth to any of those disgusting, bogus allegations," Pastner said, courtesy of Eric Crawford of WDRB. "It's disgusting. And there's zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero truth to that.

"I believe in principle. I believe in character. I live my life that way, and I've done that from the very beginning."

His reaction stems from a counterclaim filed Thursday in which Jennifer Pendley and her boyfriend Ron Bell say Pastner sexually assaulted Pendley in a hotel room in Houston in his last year as coach of Memphis. It was in response to a lawsuit filed by Pastner in January in which he says Pendley and Bell attempted to extort and blackmail him with false information.

Pastner says he has kept Georgia Tech informed throughout the entire process.

"I'm very transparent with our team," he said. "I've told my team the whole way through from the beginning."
