Pacers' George not impressed by 2K16 rating, sees himself as NBA's best
Being the cover boy of the MyNBA2K16 companion app for the "NBA 2K16" video game wasn't enough of a reason for Indiana Pacers All-Star Paul George to get the in-game rating he feels he deserves.
"I'm disappointed (in the rating), obviously, but again, I was out for a whole year," George said, according to USA Today's Sam Amick.
"There's not much to expect when it comes to a rating. One thing I do like about 2k is they update it during the season, so I've got time to get to the 90s."
Despite playing in just six games since suffering a compound fracture of both bones in his lower right leg during a Team USA showcase game, George managed to muster up an "NBA 2K16" rating of 86, which ranks him fifth overall among NBA small forwards.

George told Amick he sees himself as the NBA's best player entering the 2015-16 season, although he's knows there will be a fair share of doubters as he looks to rebound from the catastrophic injury.
The 25-year-old looked nothing like the two-time All-Star he was prior to breaking his leg, averaging 8.8 points and 3.7 rebounds on 36.7 percent shooting in 15.2 minutes per game. Not much was expected of George during that stint, though, as the goal there was to get him back on the floor before the end of the season.
The Pacers will have a tall hill to climb without the likes of Roy Hibbert and veteran David West in the frontcourt, with the bigs now a part of the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs, respectively. With so much uncertainly surrounding the four and five spots in the lineup, George will be called upon to play more minutes at power forward, which he isn't looking forward to doing.
Perhaps some strong play in a new position will be enough to bolster George's in-game rating.
