Michael Carter-Williams a game-time call Friday

It's your time now, Tim Frazier.

Signed to a 10-day contract on Thursday, the Penn State product could find himself starting for the Philadelphia 76ers in his NBA debut Friday as starting point guard Michael Carter-Williams is once again hobbled.

Carter-Williams is being called a game-time decision due to a foot injury.

The sophomore has been playing through a bruised right shin and a sprained left ankle, and needed to sit out most of the second half of Monday's game.

After missing the season's first seven games with a lingering shoulder injury, Carter-Williams has played in all but two of the team's games. He's averaging 33.9 minutes in the 41 games he's played, putting up 15.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 7.8 assists.

His impressive numbers are inflated somewhat by the situation in Philly, with the team playing at a fast pace and Carter-Williams being given free reign to use as many possessions as he desires.

Empty though some of the numbers may be - and the team's offense is actually worse with the reigning Rookie of the Year on the court - he's still shown encouraging signs, particularly on the defensive end. The 76ers allow 100.8 points per 100 possessions with Carter-Williams on the floor, a mark that would rank 11th in the NBA.
