Miami radio station has anti-LeBron ad shot down by Cleveland paper

So, about LeBron James heading to the Cleveland Cavaliers and returning home...no hard feelings, right?

Wrong, as it turns out. According to the Northeast Ohio Media Group, The Dan LeBatard Show - based out of Miami - approached The Plain Dealer, a Cleveland newspaper, about purchasing ad space for a message that would take a shot at James.

From the report:

Representatives of The Dan LeBatard Show called the Cleveland media outlet on Tuesday to purchase a full-page advertisement in this Sunday's edition of the newspaper, Northeast Ohio Media Group Vice President of Sales and Marketing Mike Maleski confirmed. NEOMG sales staff are responsible for ads in The Plain Dealer.

The show's request was "politely declined," Maleski said.

Given the description within the report, here's what the ad may have looked like:

Commenting on the matter on his show, LeBatard admitted "They have declined our money." The show also acknowledged that they had planned to crowd-fund the ad via Kickstarter rather than just paying for it, which, yeah...

The show is also said to be attempting to purchase ad space in the Akron Beacon-Journal, but it's unclear if they'll have any luck in that regard.
