The Oklahoma City Thunder came up just short of beating the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime in Game 5 of their Western Conference playoff matchup on Tuesday night, falling 100-99 after a game-winning tip-in from Serge Ibaka came a split second late.
Guard Russell Westbrook notched a triple-double in the losing effort, and added his name to the NBA playoff record book in a unique way.
Westbrook totaled 10 rebounds, 13 assists, and 30 points on 10-of-31 shooting, making him the first player since 1985-86 to record a triple double in the playoffs while missing more than 20 shots.
