Mother Nature was apparently to blame for Kyle Kuzma's air-balled free throw against the Golden State Warriors on Monday night.
Speaking to reporters postgame, the Los Angeles Lakers forward joked that he got spooked by an earthquake mid-shot.
"San Francisco had a 3.5-magnitude earthquake," Kuzma said, according to The Athletic's Jovan Buha. "Shit started rumbling. I don't know. I got scared and it went far off to the left."
Kuzma's free-throw attempt came after Warriors rookie James Wiseman was called for a technical foul in the second quarter.
