Weird Week in Hoops: LeBron vs. Courtside Karen and burner accounts
Every Sunday, theScore's most discerning minds highlight the week's lighter moments from around the basketball universe. Here's what caught our eyes this week.
Be warned: Weird Week contains coarse content. Do not read within 100 feet of a gas station.
LeBron's heckler goes mask-off
NBA history has long been defined by its rivalries.
Bird's Celtics versus Magic's Lakers. The Bad Boy Pistons versus everybody. Yi Jianlian versus a chair.
LeBron James versus ... a random Hawks fan?

But what could "Courtside Karen" possibly say to rankle LeBron? Perhaps it was one of these pithy remarks:
- "The Hawks have lost fewer times in the Finals than you! Ha!"
- "Space Jam 2 is a cynical exercise in merchandising!"
- "Alex Caruso is my favorite follicly-challenged Laker!"
- "Isn't this new way of wearing a face mask adorable?"
Whatever was said, LeBron's former Cavs teammate Richard Jefferson quickly made it clear whose side he's on:
Wait you guys can see that? 🤬I’m in her side https://t.co/N2XeqB6f4x

Burner, baby, burn!

Kevin Durant had one, as did former Sixers exec Bryan Colangelo. One intrepid online sleuth even managed to track down commissioner Adam Sliver's alleged burner Twitter account. Going incognito isn't just for we office folk seeking discretion whilst online.
This week, burner accounts surfaced allegedly belonging to Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton (@KnicksFan63) and Celtics playmaker Jeff Teague (@Demarco0055).

Payton's burner praises Immanuel Quickley but warns against naming the Knicks rookie the team's starting point guard (at Payton's expense) while slagging Knicks fans for their lack of loyalty. Payton's account also claims he doesn't tweet during games because he's working. Teague's account makes similar assertions.
Teague's alleged burner, @Demarco0055 (a combination of Teague's middle name and the number he wore before arriving in Boston and his current one), is more in on the joke than Payton and posts material with zestier language that we'll let you peruse under your own volition.
NBCS Boston's Chris Forsberg also has it on good authority that DeMarco is the same person who hacked point guard Carsen Edwards' Twitter, posting some rather niche adult material. Again, find that one on your own accord.
Herro, is it cereal you're looking for?
From the company that brought you Patrick Mahomes’ "Mahomes Magic Crunch,” Doug Flutie’s "Flutie Flakes," and Josh Allen’s "Josh's Jaqs," comes Tyler Herro's "HerrO's Fruit Hoops." While $24.99 USD is a tad steep for two boxes, proceeds from each sale go toward Herro's foundation.

HerrO's are a great source of fiber, which might be of some use to soiled-shorts savant Paul Pierce.
Fan dragged for bootleg Bulls jersey
Imagine risking exposure to a virus only to get roasted on live television for your sartorial choices. A fan got exactly that when Bulls' TV analysts Stacey King and Adam Amin fired strays at the unwitting fella during Friday's defeat in Orlando.
Stacey King and Adam Amin no chill to the fan wearing a Bulls jersey. Buy one get two free.

The Bulls shouted the fan out on Twitter and hooked him up with a free jersey. King also reached out, asking him to check his DMs, which we'd advise against. And to think, all it took was enduring 20 minutes of Denzel Valentine in a gas station special to get some free threads. Worth it.
Perkins snitches on Beard the ballet buff

Loose lips sink ships, but what about ships that have already run ashore? Kendrick Perkins challenged that on a recent appearance on the All The Smoke podcast hosted by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. On the show, Perkins hypothesized why the Thunder lost the 2012 NBA Finals against Miami.
"Russ and KD came to play. I had a couple double-doubles. Serge was doing pretty good. But, man, James ain’t give us shit. And you know why? Motherf***ing King of Diamonds and everything cut a hole in his hands," Perkins said about Harden's visit to famed Miami adult establishment King of Diamonds.

For the record, Perkins - who previously had online beef with another former Thunder teammate, Kevin Durant - didn't have "a couple double-doubles" against the Heat. He had one on the way to averaging 4.8 points, 6.8 boards, and zero lap dances in the series.
