Report: 76ers, Jazz interested in Mirotic, Pels seek 1st-rounder in return
Anthony Davis might not be the only member of the New Orleans Pelicans on the move prior to next week's trade deadline.
The Philadelphia 76ers and Utah Jazz have expressed interest in acquiring Nikola Mirotic, league sources told Sean Deveney of Sporting News, and the Pelicans are seeking a first-round pick in return.
The Jazz were reportedly linked to Mirotic last season, and the Sixers have a collection of picks at their disposal, including the Miami Heat's unprotected 2021 first-rounder.
Mirotic is averaging 16.7 points and a career-high 8.3 boards per contest. This season, he's shooting 36.8 percent from downtown and could be a stretch-four option for teams in need of a shooter.
However, Mirotic has struggled to remain on the court. He missed 12 games earlier this season due to an ankle injury and is currently out one-to-two weeks with a right calf strain.
The 27-year-old is in the final year of a two-year, $15-million contract.
