Report: Mirotic out 1-2 weeks with right calf strain
New Orleans Pelicans forward Nikola Mirotic will miss one-to-two weeks with a right calf strain, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's loss to the Detroit Pistons.
An MRI taken the following day confirmed the injury and Mirotic will be re-evaluated in one week, the team announced on Thursday.
Mirotic missed 12 games earlier this season due to an ankle injury.
The Pelicans are already without star Anthony Davis, E'Twuan Moore, and Julius Randle, who was a late scratch prior to Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Mirotic is averaging 16.7 points and 8.3 boards per contest. The Pelicans (22-26) are 12th in the Western Conference and four games back of the final playoff spot.
