Kerr on J.R. Smith's soup mishap: 'I would have chosen a more hearty entree'
Reports emerged Friday out of the Cleveland Cavaliers' camp that J.R. Smith had been suspended one game for throwing a bowl of soup at assistant coach Damon Jones.
The baffling incident left plenty around the league confused about the matter, including Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who - tongue firmly in cheek - questioned the efficiency of Smith's apparent choice of nutritional projectile.
"I would have chosen a more hearty entree," Kerr said, courtesy of Anthony Slater of The Athletic. "Would have had a better chance to create whatever the idea was."
