Chase Purdy: Not returning to Hattori Racing
Purdy will not return to Hattori Racing Enterprises in 2023, Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports reports.
Analysis:
Purdy had a pretty disappointing season with HRE this year, missing the playoffs and only logging two top-10 finishes this season. This was the first year that HRE has fielded two full-time Truck Series entries and they plan to do that again next season but with a new driver of the No. 61 to go along with Tyler Ankrum in the No. 16. Purdy's future is uncertain at this point. He is still just 22 years old, but has not shown much in decent equipment with GMS and then HRE in the Truck Series.
