Corey Lajoie: Starting Daytona 500 from Rear
After crashes in Thursday night's Bluegreen Vacations Duel races at Daytona International Speedway, the No. 12 team of Ryan Blaney and No. 32 team of LaJoie have elected to use a backup cars for Sunday's Daytona 500, NASCAR.com reports.
Analysis:
Lajoie's lap 40 run-in with J.J. Yeley caused some front end and right side damage to his No. 32 Ford. The team has opted to pull out the backup car rather than repair Lajoie's primary chassis. Starting from the rear of the field at Daytona is not as big a handicap as it is at other ovals.
