Austin Cindric: Overcomes issues at Talladega
Cindric struggled early, but brought the No. 2 car home in eighth place in Sunday's Jack Link's 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Analysis:
Early in Sunday's race, Cindric missed his pit stall after entering pit road three-wide, but he was able to get the free pass after Stage 2, putting him back on the lead lap. He steadily moved forward from there on his way to an eighth-place finish. After finishing 26th or worse in each of the season's first four races, Cindric now has six Top 20s in a row heading into the next race at Texas Motor Speedway, where the No. 2 car led 60 laps last year but was involved in a late accident, finishing 25th.
