Chase Elliott: Eighth in AdventHealth 400

Elliott finished in eighth place on Sunday at Kansas Speedway in the NASCAR Cup Series AdventHealth 400.

Analysis:

Elliott had a chance for an even better showing on Sunday, but after finishing fourth in the second stage, he was blocked getting out of his pit stall during the stage break by Austin Cindric and fell back to 12th. He managed to recover to finish eighth. Elliott now heads to Talladega, where he has a pair of Cup Series victories, though he has just one Top 10 there in his past four starts.
