Chris Buescher: Third at Watkins Glen

Buescher finished third in the Go Bowling at the Glen NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen International on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Buescher continued building on his good road racing resume Sunday at the New York road circuit. The driver of the No. 17 Ford would quickly move inside the Top 10 and battle his way into the lead by lap 19. Buescher would lead 5 circuits of the Glen and claim the stage 1 win, but that would be the limit of his time in the lead. He would hang onto good track position until the very end and fend off William Byron for third-place. It was his fourth Top 5 of the season.
