Erik Jones: Fifth-Place at Atlanta

Jones finished fifth in the Quaker State 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at EchoPark Speedway on Saturday night.

Analysis:

Jones would overcome starting back in the field to patiently move forward over the course of this 400-mile battle in Atlanta. The Legacy Motor Club driver would break into the Top 5 by the end of stage 2 and then hold onto that track position gained in stage 3. Jones would battle it out inside the Top 10 after the final caution and restart and hold off a hard-charging Ricky Stenhouse Jr. to collect the strong fifth-place finish at EchoPark Speedway. It was his second Top 5 of the season.
