John H. Nemechek: Named to No. 42 for 2024

Legacy Motor Club announced on FOX Sports 1's award-winning show "NASCAR Race Hub" that Nemechek will drive the No. 42 NASCAR Cup Series entry when the Club transitions manufacturers from Chevrolet to Toyota in 2024.

Analysis:

The No. 42 Chevrolet that was recently vacated by the release of Noah Gragson will now have Nemechek lined up for next season. This will be the young driver's second stint in NASCAR's top division. Nemechek spent the 2020 season racing full-time for Front Row Motorsports before being released and stepping back to the Xfinity Series. He has won a career-best five races this season in that division with Joe Gibbs Racing and has improved his career prospects as a result.
