Denny Hamlin: Crash and DNF at Charlotte
Hamlin crashed and finished 35th in the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Monday.
Analysis:
Hamlin and Chase Elliott would get together coming out of turn 4 on lap 185. The two had battled at the front early on, but this turn of events would lead to both drivers hooking each other into the wall on the front stretch. Hamlin's Toyota would take a huge amount of damage after nosing into the wall, and Elliott's machine would be damaged heavily from side-slapping the wall. Both would be retired from the race, and Hamlin would suffer just his first DNF of the season.
