Joey Logano: Wins Bank of America ROVAL 400 Pole
Logano won the pole for the Bank of America ROVAL 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 103.424 mph.
Analysis:
Logano picked up some speed from practice and laid down the most impressive lap of the weekend at the Charlotte road course. The Penske Racing star edged William Byron to claim his third pole position of the season and 25th of his Cup Series career. Logano is in need of a good finish this weekend to advance into the Round of 8 in the Chase, so he'll be a Top-5 threat in Sunday's Bank of America ROVAL 400.
