Free agent Dexter Fowler is still available on the open market and not one, but two teams from Chicago are showing interest in adding the outfielder to their ball clubs for the foreseeable future.

According to sources of CBS Chicago's Bruce Levine, both the Cubs and White Sox are interested in the 29-year-old, and one baseball executive told Levine the Cubs are "still the most likely landing spot for Fowler."

Although Fowler received some interest from the New York Mets, the market for his services has been pretty quiet thanks to an influx of high-caliber talent available this offseason, including Jason Heyward, Yoenis Cespedes, Alex Gordon, and Justin Upton.

If Fowler re-joins the Cubs, he'll form a strong outfield foursome with Heyward, Kyle Schwarber, and Jorge Soler.

The White Sox currently project to use an outfield of Adam Eaton, Melky Cabrera, and Avisail Garcia, with J.B Shuck on the bench, so the addition of Fowler would be a boon to their offense.

Fowler, who rejected a $15.8-million qualifying offer from the Cubs in mid-November, had the best season of his career in 2015, posting career highs in home runs (17), runs scored (102), total bases (245), and WAR (3.2).
