Dexter Fowler is poised to test the free-agent market.
The outfielder has rejected the Chicago Cubs' one-year, $15.8-million qualifying offer, according to CSN Chicago's Patrick Mooney.
Chicago will, however, receive draft-pick compensation if he signs elsewhere.
Fowler enjoyed a strong 2015 season, hitting .250/.346/.411 with 17 homers and 46 RBIs in 156 contests for the upstart Cubs.
