Baltimore Orioles general manager Dan Duquette continues to search for outfield help.

Duquette confirmed last week that the Orioles will be buyers at the non-waiver trade deadline and remain committed to making a postseason push, despite dropping four of their last six games.

The Orioles have reportedly talked with the San Diego Padres about a deal that would send Justin Upton to Maryland, according to Jayson Stark of ESPN. The deal could also expand to include Padres starters Tyson Ross or Andrew Cashner.

Pitcher ERA IP SO WHIP
Cashner 3.93 116.2 102 1.31
Ross 3.45 122.2 132 1.39

"We may make some trades, but anything that we do we're gonna try and improve our ballclub for this year," Duquette told reporters Monday.

It was reported last week that the Orioles had "expressed interest" in Upton.

Baltimore is currently using Chris Davis, David Lough, and Travis Snider in the corner outfield.

Player PA 2B HR AVG/OBP/SLG SO
Upton 383 10 16 .251/.330/.429 100
Davis 391 17 22 .242/.322/.484 121
Snider 225 9 3 .243/.320/.351 53
Lough 127 1 4 .220/.258/.347 29

Upton, an All-Star for the third time this season, is hitting .251/.330/.429 with 16 home runs, 50 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases through 93 games. He's a free agent at the end of the season.

The Orioles sit seven games back in the division and 3 1/2 back of the second wild card.
