Another highly touted Cuban is on the market.

Infielder Hector Olivera has been declared a free agent by Major League Baseball, leaving the 29-year-old open to sign with any team, according to Ben Badley of Baseball America.

It was reported in February that Olivera was seeking a deal between five and six years, with five teams demonstrating a willingness to offer him upwards of $70 million.

However, earlier this week it was reported that there were concerns regarding damage to Olivera's UCL in his throwing arm that could require Tommy John surgery, though his representatives denied that report.

Olivera has been linked to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Seattle Mariners, Oakland Athletics, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and New York Yankees
