Report: David Ross to decide between Cubs, Padres and Red Sox

While the decision doesn't quite have the same impact as Jon Lester's, veteran catcher David Ross is reportedly set to decide between the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres, according to Rob Bradford of WEEI.
The 37-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Red Sox as a backup and slashed .197/.276/.374 with 11 home runs, 25 RBIs and 100 strikeouts in 86 games.
An above average defensive catcher that has the ability to handle a pitching staff and viewed as a mentor to younger pitchers and catchers, Ross had no shortage of interest from teams this offseason despite his lack of offensive production.
The Atlanta Braves were said to have expressed interest, but a possible reunion doesn't appear to be in the cards.
