The Minnesota Twins and Hunter have a mutual interest in a reunion, but the Kansas City Royals, Baltimore Orioles, San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays are also reportedly interested.
Hunter, 39, hit .286 with 17 home runs and 83 RBIs last season for the Detroit Tigers, who are out of the running to retain his services.
The winter meetings begin Dec. 8 in San Diego.
