Nationals demote struggling Meneses

The Washington Nationals optioned first baseman Joey Meneses to Triple-A, the club announced Thursday, according to MASN's Mark Zuckerman.
Jesse Winker, Harold Ramírez, and Riley Adams could all get some time at first following Meneses' demotion, per Zuckerman.
Meneses is slashing .231/.291/.306 with three home runs and 43 RBIs over 76 games this season.
The 32-year-old turned heads when he debuted in 2022, recording 13 homers with a .930 OPS over 56 contests. He then hit .275 while going deep 13 times with 89 RBIs across 154 games in 2023.
