The Boston Red Sox agreed to a minor-league deal with right-hander Michael Fulmer.

The pact is a two-year agreement that pays Fulmer $1.5 million per season, a source told MassLive's Chris Cotillo. His deal can max out at $2 million in 2025 through incentives.

Fulmer is set to miss the entire 2024 campaign after undergoing UCL revision surgery on his right elbow. He won't take up a 40-man roster spot for the Red Sox while rehabbing his injury.

The 30-year-old posted a 4.42 ERA and 10.3 K/9 in 57 innings for the Chicago Cubs last season.

Fulmer has established himself as a productive reliever since transitioning to the bullpen in 2021, logging a 3.43 ERA, 3.60 FIP, and 9.7 K/9 in 172 appearances for the Cubs, Detroit Tigers, and Minnesota Twins.
