Report: Greinke wants to pitch in 2024
Zack Greinke isn't ready to call it a career.
The free-agent right-hander wants to pitch for an MLB team in 2024, sources told The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.
Greinke received a standing ovation from Kauffman Stadium last October in what many thought could be his final game.

Greinke pitching in 2024 would mark his 21st campaign.
The 40-year-old remains unsigned after going 2-15 with a 5.06 ERA and 4.74 FIP last season with the Kansas City Royals. However, he's just 21 strikeouts away from becoming the 20th pitcher in major-league history to reach 3,000 strikeouts.
The 2009 AL Cy Young winner and six-time Gold Glover is one of just two active pitchers - along with Justin Verlander - to throw more than 3,000 innings.
