Brewers' Williams needs surgery after breaking hand punching wall

The Milwaukee Brewers are placing right-hander Devin Williams on the 10-day injured list with a fractured right hand that will require surgery, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com.
The star reliever said he sustained the injury punching a wall after the Brewers' celebration for clinching the NL Central title on Sunday. He added that he'd had too much to drink and was upset about something before the incident.
"If I could take it back, I would," Williams said Wednesday.
Williams, who won NL Rookie of the Year last season, is an integral piece of Milwaukee's bullpen. The 27-year-old has posted a 2.50 ERA with 87 strikeouts over 54 innings this season. He owns a 2.09 ERA with 14.6 K/9 across three years in the majors.
