The San Diego Padres may not be done adding starting pitchers.

The Padres are one of several teams to send right-hander Adam Wainwright a competitive offer, according to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Wainwright has pitched with the St. Louis Cardinals during his entire 15-year career. The Cardinals reportedly want to bring back the 39-year-old but are offering less money than what he was scheduled to make in 2020.

The three-time All-Star posted a 3.15 ERA in 10 starts for the Cardinals last season.

Meanwhile, the Padres completely remade their starting rotation this offseason. The club added Blake Snell, Yu Darvish, and Joe Musgrove through trades to a group that already included Dinelson Lamet and Chris Paddack.
