Houston Astros outfielder George Springer left Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers after hitting his head on the outfield wall while making a spectacular catch to end the fifth inning.

Springer was tended to for several minutes by Astros trainers and was eventually able to stand up. He appeared dazed, however, and was carted off the field.

Kyle Tucker pinch-hit for Springer to lead off the sixth. He took over in right field defensively, with Josh Reddick sliding to center.

Following the game, Astros manager A.J. Hinch told reporters that Springer is being evaluated for a head injury and is being listed as day-to-day, according to Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle.

"He's doing OK," Hinch said, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com. "... He's doing well given all the circumstances of running into a wall."

Hinch added that Springer will "run (through) the gauntlet" of tests, including checking for a concussion.

Springer's in the midst of a career season, earning his third straight All-Star berth while slashing .297/.389/.573 with 30 homers, 22 extra-base hits, 75 RBIs, and six defensive runs saved. The 29-year-old's only appeared in 105 games, though, as he missed time earlier in the season due to back and hamstring injuries.
