"Brooks is prioritizing the needs of his family and staying closer to home," LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil said in a statement. "We appreciate the significant impact he has had on the game and wish him continued success, both on and off the course."
The five-time major champion left the PGA TOUR in 2022 to join LIV Golf. He notably won the 2023 PGA Championship while competing in LIV.
"Brooks Koepka is a highly accomplished professional, and we wish him and his family continued success," the PGA TOUR said in a statement. "The PGA TOUR continues to offer the best professional golfers the most competitive, challenging, and lucrative environment in which to pursue greatness."
Koepka won five LIV events in his four seasons on the Saudi-backed tour. His last victory came in August 2024 at LIV Greenbrier in a playoff against Jon Rahm.
The 35-year-old struggled last season. He ranked 31st of 54 players in the LIV standings and failed to win on the tour. Koepka missed the cut in three of the four major championships.
Talor Gooch will take over as captain of Smash GC.
