Paris St. Germain winger Angel Di Maria has fond memories of his time at Real Madrid, so much so that he's planning to show respect to his former team by celebrating quietly if he scores against them Wednesday.

PSG will host Madrid at the Parc des Princes for a Champions League group stage fixture and Di Maria is already buzzing for this reunion match that he said he predicted during the group stage draw.

"As soon as I arrived in Paris, I said to my wife, 'Just wait and see how we draw Real Madrid,'" Di Maria told Canal Football, according to AS. "I was spot on.

"If I score against Madrid, I won't celebrate the goal as still deep in my heart are memories of my time at the Spanish club. I can never forget winning the Champions League trophy in Lisbon. It was an unforgettable experience."

Di Maria was a key figure in the Real Madrid lineup for three seasons before making the switch over to Manchester United last year. His time at Old Trafford was tumultuous at best and a summer move saw him leave after a year to join Paris.

PSG will travel to Madrid on November 3 for the away leg of the Champions League fixture and Di Maria said he's already looking forward to the reception at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"Playing against Madrid will be very special," he said. "I recall how the Bernabeu gave me a standing ovation in my last home game before moving to United."
