David Luiz will be Paris Saint-Germain's lone absentee for Wednesday's Champions League tilt with Real Madrid.

The Brazilian was ruled out of the fixture by manager Laurent Blanc after he suffered a knee injury on international duty with the Brazilian national team.

Shortly after the injury was revealed, Luiz's agent suggested the defender could miss an extended period of time after revealing that the Brazilian medical staff feared he will miss up to four weeks.

Blanc, however, will have Angel Di Maria available for the Real Madrid match, after resting the Argentine during PSG's 2-0 win over Bastia on Saturday.

Midfielder Marco Verratti (calf), and goalkeeper Kevin Trapp (thigh), also appear set to make a return for the Parisian outfit on Wednesday, as they near recovery from their own injuries.

"We will be almost at full strength," Blanc told reporters.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is dealing with significant injuries of its own, as they may be without Gareth Bale on Wednesday due to a leg ailment that's already sidelined him from training.

Both teams are tied on points at the top Group A, but Madrid has the advantage because of a superior goal differential.
