David Luiz picks up pair of yellow cards in 2 minutes, leaving Dunga fuming
Brazil defender David Luiz is many things, but a careful, composed center-back, he is not.
Those traits - or lack thereof - were on full display as Brazil took on bitter rival Argentina in a World Cup qualifying match in Buenos Aires. Near the end of the match, Luiz picked up a yellow card - nothing too out of the ordinary for the Paris Saint-Germain man, who took the caution in good spirits.
Evidently, however, Luiz didn't get the message to calm down, picking up a second yellow card two minutes later for this challenge on Lucas Biglia in the 88th minute.
Brazil manager Dunga wasn't about to make any excuses for Luiz's rash tackle after the match.
"He deserved to be sent off," a disapproving Dunga told reporters. "There's nothing to complain about."
The match ended in a 1-1 draw and Luiz is now suspended for the Selecao's next World Cup qualifier against Peru on Nov. 17.
