Bordeaux confirmed an agreement was reached on Monday for the sale of Malcom to Roma.
The Italian club followed the French outfit's news release by revealing the transfer is pending a successful medical and agreeing on personal terms.
Malcom will arrive in the Italian capital at 11 p.m. local time in anticipation of a move worth an initial €32 million, according to Sky Sport's Gianluca Di Marzio. Malcom was reportedly the subject of advanced talks with Everton earlier in July.
The Brazilian winger was also drawing the eye of north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in January, but Bordeaux president Stephane Martin held onto the youngster. Malcom was his club's top scorer with eight goals in the 2017-18 Ligue 1 campaign, and also provided an unmatched seven assists.
Sporting director Monchi's revolution in Roma is gathering momentum this summer. Following last season's abundant business - which included the much-criticised sale of Mohamed Salah to Liverpool - Roma has added Javier Pastore, Justin Kluivert, Gregoire Defrel, and others in recent weeks, and is rumoured to be signing Swedish goalkeeper Robin Olsen as a replacement for Alisson, who joined Liverpool in a deal worth up to €72.5 million last week.
