Manchester City full-back Pablo Zabaleta has been ruled out for at least ten days with a recurring knee ligament injury, according to the club's official website.
The Argentine international has been plagued by the knee issue all season, appearing in two Premier League matches for the club, along with two Champions League fixtures.
In Zabaleta's absence, former Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna deputised admirably, and is enjoying a career revival of sorts after making only 12 league appearances for the club last season.
City's Spanish teenager Pablo Maffeo might also see a few minutes in lieu of Zabaleta's injury, with gaffer Manuel Pellegrini naming the 18-year-old to the bench for the club's midweek trip to Juventus.
