Something smells fishy here.
Retired Brazilian footballer and former Bolton striker Mario Jardel had his luggage seized at the airport in Porto Alegre, Brazil for attempting to illegally import 10kg of cod.
The 42-year-old was nabbed at the airport following a trip to Portugal with the cod, assorted nuts, and 1.2kg of cheese, which was subsequently destroyed for being in violation of local customs laws against the import of foodstuffs without a health certificate.
Unfortunately for Jardel, he was nabbed hook, line and sinker, though he was fortunate to avoid further punishment from airport staff.
