Manchester United defender Luke Shaw posts encouraging injury update

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has offered fans a glimpse of his recovery process from a traumatic leg fracture.

Shaw broke his right leg during the Champions League defeat to PSV Eindhoven earlier this month, and he will likely miss the remainder of the season.

He remained in the Netherlands to undergo surgery, and it looks like he has made the first step towards a return.

"Long road ahead but so happy to be able to put weight on my leg again," Shaw wrote on Facebook.

United has so far survived without its star left-back, securing a 3-0 win over Sunderland this weekend to go atop the league table.
