West Brom boss Tony Pulis looks to sign Scotland goalkeeper David Marshall
Not content with the competition between Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill for goalkeeping duties, West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis is still hopeful a deal for David Marshall can be completed before the end of the summer transfer window.
West Brom previously submitted an amount believed to be around £5 million for the shot-stopper, but Cardiff City believes its No. 1 is worth more money.
"It's out of my jurisdiction now, it's down to the money men. Never say never until the window closes," Pulis said at a media conference.
It turns out negotiations have been dragging on for a while.
"We'd like Marshall, and the two clubs have been talking for nearly five weeks."
The 30-year-old signed a long-term deal with the Bluebirds in 2014, during his impressive season in the Premier League.
Pulis seems to want to shore things up at the back, given the reported accepted offer for Manchester United defender Jonny Evans on Friday.
