Less than a month after he was sacked by West Ham United, Slaven Bilic has turned down a chance to become the new manager of West Bromwich Albion, according to Jason Burt of The Telegraph.

It's believed West Brom officials approached Bilic this week over the possibility of succeeding Tony Pulis, who was sacked Monday following a 4-0 loss to Chelsea.

The Croatian manager, however, isn't currently interested in a return to the Premier League, explaining it's too early for him to roam the touchline after he was sacked on Nov. 6.

Intrigue in Bilic stems from West Brom's desire to sign a manager with Premier League experience, but the 49-year-old prefers to wait until after the New Year before he considers offers.

West Brom may now turn its attention to Alan Pardew, who has been out of work for just under a year since Crystal Palace sacked him.

In the meantime, Pulis’ assistant, Gary Megson, will take charge of West Brom during Saturday's encounter with Tottenham at Wembley Stadium, with the team sitting one spot above the drop-zone with 10 points after 12 matches,.
