Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly seen a £15-million offer for Wilfried Zaha turned down by Crystal Palace.

The Guardian's Dominic Fifield understands the Eagles have told Spurs that Zaha isn't for sale, despite the player voicing an interest to manager Alan Pardew in moving to Tottenham. Transferring to north London would provide Zaha an opportunity to play in the Champions League.

Crystal Palace is now expected to offer Zaha a fresh contract in a bid to ward off any interested parties, but the winger is believed to be disenchanted with the gulf between his £35,000-a-week salary and what the likes of Yohan Cabaye and Christian Benteke are paid.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has pursued personnel for the flanks during much of the summer. He registered an interest for Sofiane Boufal some time ago - the Lille standout now expected to join Southampton - and is still apparently making strides for Marseille's Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Bayer Leverkusen's Hakan Calhanoglu, according to reports that surfaced on Wednesday.

"I'm very happy with my squad. Whatever happens in the next few days is welcome," said Pochettino ahead of Saturday's visit from Liverpool.

"I hope we can add a good player to the squad to help us, I think it's another situation where we need to confirm whether we can add some players or not."

Zaha made his name progressing through the ranks at Crystal Palace, but then signed with Manchester United in January 2013 at a cost of £10 million. He stayed with the Eagles on loan until the end of that campaign, helping them to promotion from the Championship.

At United, however, Zaha struggled to make an impression, and returned to Palace on loan in August 2014 before making the deal permanent six months later.

Last season, Zaha fashioned two goals and one assist over 34 top-flight appearances, and would compete with the likes of Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli at White Hart Lane.
