The Calgary Stampeders have traded quarterback Nick Arbuckle to the Ottawa Redblacks for a third-round pick.
A conditional pick will be added if Arbuckle, a pending free agent, signs with Ottawa.
Arbuckle spent the last three seasons in Calgary as Bo Levi Mitchell's backup. An injury to Mitchell thrust him into the starting role in 2019. The Stamps won four of their seven games with Arbuckle under center.
The 26-year-old threw for 2,103 yards, 11 touchdowns, and five interceptions last campaign.
The Redblacks potentially add stability to the game's most important position with the addition of Arbuckle. Ottawa rotated between Dominique Davis, Jonathon Jennings and Will Arndt at quarterback in 2019.
