The BC Lions will name DeVone Claybrooks as their new head coach later this week, according to Arash Madani of Sportsnet.
Claybrooks, the defensive coordinator of the Grey Cup champion Calgary Stampeders, also interviewed with the Toronto Argonauts.
The 41-year-old has operated as the Stamps' defensive coordinator since 2016. He was previously Calgary's defensive line coach from 2012 to 2015 after ending his playing career with the team.
Claybrooks would replace Wally Buono, who stepped down at the conclusion of the 2018 season following a loss in the East Division semifinals.
