The Edmonton Eskimos re-signed wide receiver Derel Walker on Wednesday after the two-time CFL All-Star was released earlier in the week by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Walker established himself as one of the CFL's top pass-catchers over the last two years before requesting his release from Edmonton for a chance to crack the NFL. He posted 2,699 yards and 16 touchdowns over two campaigns with the Eskimos, and formed a prolific receiving tandem with Adarius Bowman.
The 26-year-old returns to an Eskimos club currently tied for second in the West Division at 7-3, one game behind the Calgary Stampeders for the top spot.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
