The Calgary Stampeders used consistent production throughout Monday's game against the Edmonton Eskimos to earn their league-leading eighth win of the season by a score of 39-18.

The win extends the Stampeders' current winning streak to six games and gives them a three-point cushion over the Eskimos and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West Division.

The Stampeders used an early field goal from Rene Paredes to open the scoring, followed by a rushing touchdown from Jerome Messam that was capped off with a successful 2-point conversion to take an 11-0 lead. The second quarter brought more Stampeders offense, as Anthony Parker added a 24-yard rushing touchdown and Roy Finch found the end zone with a 90-yard punt return.

The Eskimos were unable to muster more than a field goal until the fourth quarter when quarterback Mike Reilly connected with Kenny Stafford on a 7-yard strike and then again with Brandon Zylstra on a 41-yard pass - but by then it was a case of too little, too late.

Despite not recording a touchdown throw, Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell was effective in the victory, completing 19-of-27 passes for 277 yards.

The two teams will renew acquaintances next week as the Stampeders travel to Edmonton.
