Roma's Edin Dzeko banned 2 matches for telling off referee

Roma striker Edin Dzeko has been banned two matches for verbally abusing a referee during Sunday's 2-0 win over Genoa.
Dzeko complained about a foul in the box in the 74th minute, and swore at Andrea Gervasoni, who wasted no time brandishing a red card. It was the Bosnian's first ever sending-off in his club career.

Lega Serie A confirmed in its ruling Tuesday that Dzeko repeatedly directed an "insulting expression" at Gervasoni.
The suspension means the forward will miss the matches against Chievo and AC Milan to start the new year.
