Arsenal-linked Allegri wants another '400 games' at Juventus helm

Massimiliano Allegri says he intends to sit down with Juventus and discuss his future when the season's complete, but insists he's happy at the club amid reported interest from Arsenal.

Long-running manager Arsene Wenger's contract winds down at the end of the campaign, and, in light of the Gunners' recent form, which has cut it adrift from Premier League leader Chelsea, speculation of his exit has heightened.

Allegri apparently features on Arsenal's managerial wish list alongside Borussia Dortmund's Thomas Tuchel, Bayer Leverkusen's Roger Schmidt, and AS Monaco's Leonardo Jardim.

"As for my future, how can I confirm something that doesn't exist or deny something I never said?" He posed to the media, as reported by Football Italia. "I have a contract with Juventus, I am happy, as I've always said we have a season to complete, and at the right time we'll sit down with the club to discuss our plans."

The 49-year-old, who was speaking ahead of his 100th match in charge at Cagliari on Sunday, added: "I hope there are another 300 or 400 games, as I am happy at Juventus. I always said that if I were to leave, Juve would be the first to know."

Allegri was evasive on the subject of the Arsenal job when asked on it earlier in the week, with some reading into his refusal to be drawn into the subject as an interest in succeeding Wenger.

"I won't deny or confirm anything," he said. "I am in sync with the club, now we have to focus on winning.

"At this time of the season the media always says I'm leaving, even when things are going really well."

Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta was clearer on the matter, however, seeing no reason for Allegri, the overseer of back-to-back Serie A titles, to leave Turin.

"There is great mutual admiration and affection," Marotta claimed.
